Pinterest App Privacy Policy
Effective date: 6 November 2026. This policy explains how OrbitX Pinterest Automation (“OrbitX”, “the app”), operated by OrbitX Supply (www.orbitx.supply), handles information when it connects to Pinterest. It covers only the app. Questions: hi@orbitx.supply.
Who uses the app
OrbitX is an internal tool. It is used only by its operator to publish Pins of Framer website templates to the operator’s own Pinterest business account. It is not offered to the public and has no user sign-up.
Information we access from Pinterest
With the permission granted on Pinterest’s authorization page, OrbitX accesses:
the connected account’s username and account type, to confirm which account is connected;
the account’s boards (IDs and names), so Pins are published only to an existing board;
Pins on the target board, to verify publishing;
the ability to create Pins on the account’s boards. OrbitX never creates, edits or deletes boards.
OrbitX does not access information about other Pinterest users, followers, messages or advertising data.
Information we store
All data is stored on the operator’s own computer:
Pinterest access and refresh tokens, in a local file readable only by the operator’s user account. Tokens are never displayed, logged or shared.
For each published Pin: the Pin ID, board ID and name, title, description, link and publication time, kept to prevent duplicate posts and to enforce daily limits.
The operator’s own images and their content hashes.
Image hosting
To create a Pin, a copy of the operator’s own image is uploaded to the operator’s Cloudinary account, which provides the image URL sent to Pinterest. No Pinterest data is sent to Cloudinary.
How we use information
Only to publish the operator’s own Pins and to verify that publishing worked. We do not sell, rent or share Pinterest data with anyone. We do not use it for advertising, profiling or analytics, and we do not combine it with other data sources.
Security
Tokens are stored with owner-only file permissions and written atomically. Secrets are kept out of logs and terminal output. All Pinterest API requests use HTTPS.
Retention and deletion
Tokens are kept until access is revoked or the app is disconnected. Pin records are kept while the app is in use, to prevent duplicates. Access can be revoked at any time in Pinterest settings under Security and logins → Apps. Local data can be deleted by removing the app’s data folder, and Pins can be deleted on Pinterest.
Changes
We will update this page if the app’s handling of data changes.
